EXPOSED The Podcast was created by two surviving, thrivers of domestic abuse. In 2017 LaVerne and Natalie connected serving on an advisory committee called Voices. There was an immediate obvious kindred spirit between the two!
LaVerne Badger is the founder of Let's Talk that focuses on non-traditional and traditional conversations specifically with men to end domestic abuse and an author of her autobiography Overcoming The Darkness: Surviving Domestic Violence.
While Natalie Hayden utilized health and wellness to influence self-discipline while combatting countless adversities due to the ramifications of leaving a marriage infused with domestic abuse.
The two connected at an all male round table discussion about domestic abuse hosted by LaVerne. Natalie began to insist that they do a podcast. Although, LaVerne was hesitant at first she quickly realized that her concerns were driven by fear.
LaVerne and Natalie knew a podcast created by survivors of domestic abuse would have some backlash but they pushed through the fear of being vulnerable and EXPOSED by telling their truth.
LaVerne and Natalie were determined to be the Voice for the Voiceless. Once EXPOSED The Podcast was launched in July 2018 they knew the narrative would completely shift and redefine domestic abuse as we know it.

Overcoming The Darkness: Surviving Domestic Violence - Written by LaVerne Badger
Overcoming the Darkness is my story of a 13 year relationship with the love of my life...so I thought. I share with you how we met, the mental and physical abuse and I endure at the hands of my love. Take the journey with me as I describe how my mother was shot and killed in front of my siblings and I. My hope and prayer is that my story encourages and inspires someone to become the thriver God intended us to be.

The #NoMoreMeanGirls pledge was created with the purpose of ending mean girl behavior towards other women. We are trying to accomplish healthier women relationships by acknowledging the negative behavior so we can then better understand the why and move forward to changing it.
